Broken hand setback is small for Kansas' Selby
2010-06-09 14:06:00

Lawrence, KS (Sports Network) - Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self described it as a "very small setback" when incoming freshman guard Josh Selby broke his left hand Monday night while playing a pick-up game at the school. "Even though the cast will be on for four to six weeks, he will be able to do his skill work with limited shooting," Self said. "We're disappointed, but this is a very small setback in the big scheme of things."

Selby, who was ranked the No. 1 overall player by Rivals.com, is from Baltimore.

Last season at Lake Clifton High School, he averaged 32 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals. He also played two seasons at DaMatha High School.
